Specifications

8x8 BPG 410 Adapter

The 8x8 Broadband Phone Service Adapter connects a regular analog phone to your high-speed Internet service to enable 8x8 VoIP phone service.

By connecting standard telephones (cordless ones and headsets included) with broadband connections (Cable or DSL), 8x8 subscribers have the ability to make phone calls over the Internet at a fraction of the cost of traditional phone services. The Broadband Phone Adapter can be installed at the subscriber's premise in minutes. Equipped with two switched Ethernet ports and two RJ-11 phone service ports, the BPA410 adapter connects with your home router or gateway and your standard, existing telephones. Because the BPA410 adapters allow you to have two separate 8x8 service plans - in essence, two phone lines from one box and one broadband connection: you can have two separate phone calls happening at the same time. The second Ethernet port can be used for connecting your PC or other networked device without adding an extra Ethernet switch hub. (See diagram below.) The adapter is necessary to use 8x8 Residential and Virtual Office services.

8x8 subscribers can make and receive calls from any telephone in the world. Using your regular telephone with a BPA410 and 8x8 Internet phone service to make Internet phone calls is easier and more natural than using a computer with a microphone and speakers.
