Installation Instructions

To manually upgrade your Broadband Phone Adapter (non-windows users), follow these steps: Download the Broadband Phone Adapter program file (right-click and save or in a browser, just click on the link). BPA430 Upgrader.

Lift the handset from your phone then use a pointed tip (such as a paper clip) to push the reset button on the back of the phone adapter once. Listen on the handset for the IP address of the phone adapter. (Note: To upgrade, please make sure the phone is plugged in the LINE 1 port to get the IP address.)
Open a web browser and enter the Broadband Phone Adapter’s IP address and press "Enter."
Click "Download" or "Upgrade Firmware" on the left side of the web page.
In the "Filename" field, use the "Browse" button to find the file you saved.
Click "Start HTTP Download."
Using Internet Explorer, on the bottom of the screen you will see progress messages like: "Booting into Downloader Mode. Please wait..." "Performing Firmware Upgrade. Please wait..."
Please wait approximately five minutes for the procedure to complete. You will see the message "Download Successful."
Click the "Restart Main Application" button on the web page.

Installation Instructions

To Automatically upgrade your BPA410

Follow these steps

Download this program by clicking the button above.
Disable Norton Internet Security, Zone Alarm or similar firewall programs before upgrading.
Run the program and click the "Auto-Detect BPA(s)" button.
Once your device is found, select it in the application window. It should be labeled "BPA version 1.0 US."
Click "Upgrade BPA."
Wait a few minutes for the process to complete.
When the device is upgraded, a green light under "MAC Address" indicates you are up-to-date.

8x8 675xi Series IP Phones

To Upgrade New Firmware to your IP Phone:

Press “Options” Key on the phone and then scroll down to Option 6 “Restart Phone.”
Then press “Select.”
Press “Restart” to restart your IP Phone
During the restart process your IP Phone will search for new firmware.
If new firmware is found for your IP Phone it will start downloading.
Please Note: “DO NOT UPLUG IP PHONE WHEN FIRMWARE IS DOWNLOADING”
Once the download is complete your IP Phone will reboot itself.

Known Issues:

Call Park is not available.
Star commands will not work for IP Phone at this time.
Shared Line Extension voicemail will not show IP Phone MWI (Message Waiting Indicator).
Salesforce and Outlook IP Phone status issue. Outbound Calls Only.
Changes made locally on the phone will not sync with server side.

8x8 Response Point Adapter

To manually upgrade your 8x8 Response Point Adapter follow these steps:

Download the 8x8 Response Point file (right-click and save or in a browser, just click on the link).
Use the RPA Assistant program to discover the IP address of the 8x8 Response Point Adapter.
Open a web browser and enter the 8x8 Response Point Adapter’s IP address and press "Enter."
Enter the password for the 8x8 Response Point Adapter (default password is “admin”)
Click "Upgrade Firmware" on the left side of the web page.
In the "Filename" field, use the "Browse" button to find the file you saved.
Click "Start Firmware Upgrade."
Using Internet Explorer, on the bottom of the screen you will see progress messages like: “Please wait..." "Performing Firmware Upgrade. Please wait..."
Please wait approximately five minutes for the procedure to complete. You will see the message "Firmware Upgrade Successful."
